NASA Wallops Island Launches

It took watching, waiting, and patience but after two scrubbed launches, we saw three rocket launches from Wallops Island in Virginia. The launches were coordinated and occurred within about 7 minutes. Then the awe-inspiring events occurred. The first two rockets released material that the third rocket would film to study wind currents in the upper atmosphere. Seeing that material twist and glow and stretch and form what looked like portals was an amazing experience.

On each of the three evenings, the launch window didnt’t open until 10:30pm so we were all pretty tired by the third evening’s successful launches. And somehow in all of that, Louisa and Courtney managed to obtain and organize everything that Louisa needed to move in at University of Marland the morning after the launches.
