An Epic Winter Prep Day!

There was the promise of a beautiful fall day and it was surprisingly available for spending the day preparing meats to store for the winter days when what everyone needs is a little taste of summer.

Brian arrived at 4 am with much of his equipment and we began setting up and lighting the fires. The pork butts went on at 5 am and with that, our day began.

It was late afternoon when everything was finished and we had 4 pork shoulders, 2 chickens, 2 racks of ribs, an eye of round beef roast, baked beans, grilled veggies in pasta and goat cheese, and cinnamon apple crisp for dessert.
