Longwood Gardens with Kaylee

It has been almost 18 months since we’ve made the trip to Longwood Gardens so we were certainly ready. After sweltering heat in the Mid-Atlantic, the temperature was dropping over 20 degrees and would be staying in the 60s. It would also be cloudy but we thought we could beat any rain.

As it turned out, it was a great day to walk through the gardens. We walked through beautiful flowers, around calming ponds, and saw incredible fountain displays accompanied by Aaron Copland’s music. We even had time for a picnic lunch in the tall, tall trees.

When we were safely in our car and on our way home, only then did the rain start.
