images of our life
The cherry blossoms were at their peak, the sun was shining, and it was to be a brisk spring day. After the cold of the winter, 70 degrees seemed like a tropical paradise. The Park Service calls the Tidal Basin path the “Walk in the Clouds Trail” and when you’re beneath the canopy of thousands of cherry trees, their description is perfect. As you walk around the basin, you can see the memorials honoring Jefferson, FDR, Lincoln, Martin Luther King, the Air Force, as well as the White House, the Capitol, and the Washington Monument. It is one of our nation’s iconic strolls through history, worth seeing again and again.
