We stopped at a cafe on our way to the Louvre and had our typical breakfast of coffee, orange juice, and a chocolate croissant.
The Louvre is more massive than you’ve imagined and walking up to it is quite an experience.
Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel, an arch built to celebrate Napoleon’s battle triumphs at the entrance to the Jardin de Tuilerie.
Yeah, for Museum Pass. We managed to skip the lines.
Jen title this sculpture “Roman Dude Taking Selfie."
Winged Victory
We joined the throngs of people wanting to see the Mona Lisa. It is not a pleasant experience but it was worth seeing her this close.
Brian’s favorite pose has Roman roots.
Venus de Milo

We stopped at a Paul’s food truck outside the Louvre, found two green chairs near the Grand Bassin Pond, and ate a relaxing lunch in the sun.
After lunch, we walked through Tuilerie to the Musée de l’Orangerie.
On the way, we spotted Sacré-Cœur in the distance.
One of two oval rooms where you can enjoy Monet’s Water Lillies, four in each room. Light is provided by room-length skylights oriented east to west so that the sun provides changing light just as it does in nature.
I had made reservations for Le Soufflé, the restaurant we couldn’t get into earlier in the week. It was small, seated about 30, simply decorated and we had a little trouble with the menu. After some guidance from our waiter, we ordered a soufflé meal, small for an appetizer, large for our main course, and a desert soufflé that we expected to be very small but it wasn't
