We’ve been to two concerts at the Kennedy Center since we returned from our trip to Europe. The first, conducted by Noseda, featured Leila Josefowicz playing Stravinsky’s Violin Concerto. The second was conducted by Sir Mark Elder and was a beautiful and interesting concert featuring three composers connected by World War I: Butterworth, Williams, and Ravel. Here’s the Washington Post review of this concert.
The Kennedy Center was also hosting a special exhibition of Cuban music, art, and drama while we were there.
The first concert was just two days after we returned and I think we still had not complely adjusted to the time change.
