The 100th anniversary of Leonard Bernstein’s birthday is on August 25 of this year and there have been concerts held around the world in recognition and celebration. The National Symphony and many other artists performed a thoroughly enjoyable collection of music and dance called Leonard Bernstein at 100. It included classical music, jazz, broadway tunes, ballet, and opera. One of the highlights of the evening was the performance by Misty Copeland and Tony Yazbeck of the Dream Ballet from On the Town .
