images of our life
Our last visit was to Hyde Park, home of the Franklin Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum.
We were surprised at the huge role the Roosevelts had clearly played in the life of a very large part of the Hyde Park area. The property was three miles long and a half mile wide. It was beautifully maintained as was his home. This house, known as Springwood, was Roosevelts for his entire life. Although he owned other residences, Hyde Park was always home.
It was a good way to end our trip. An impressive home, an impressive museum, reflecting the lives of two very important people in American history.
