images of our life
Closing out the concerts for this season, we went to a rehearsal of the NSO at the Kennedy Center featuring a clarinet concerto performed by Martin Fröst, and conducted by Osmo Vänskä.
The music was great. Getting there was awful. Traffic on I-95 was horrible due to accidents and construction so we exited the freeway and relied on our GPS to get us around the worst of the mess. We finally arrived and found parking in the garage at the Kennedy Center jammed up because of renovations. Somehow, we were only five minutes late and we were able to enter and finally enjoy the concert.
After the concert, we had lunch in Georgetown and a stroll down to the Potomac.
