Total Solar Eclipse
on the Finger Lakes
Should We Go?
We received an email from the hotel where we stayed last August when we made our first trip to the Finger Lakes. They generously invited us to visit for the eclipse that would occur on April 8. After a pretty short discussion, we decided another trip to upper New York would be fun. It would be just a short drive from the hotel to the path of totality and we hoped that we could avoid the crowds that would be present in the larger cities. That plan worked perfectly. Now if we could just learn to control the weather.
