Tuesday, we took a Metro to the Abbesses, near Sacré-Cœur. When we got off the train, we spotted a sign that said there were 181 steps to the exit. I turned around and there was a man pointing down another hall to the elevator. God bless him.
The funiculaire is a fast and easy way to the top of the hill.
The Basilica was beautiful in the bright sun.
Look through the tree on the right and you might spot the Eiffel Tower.
We walked back toward Place des Abbesses to find lunch.
A theater
We ate lunch at this restaurant. I had pasta shells with black truffles and parma ham. Jen had grilled salmon on a bed of thinly sliced veggies. And wine.
We bought sandwiches and an apple tart to have later.
If you click on this photo and can zoom in on the store on the right called the Petit Bateau, that is where we bought our youngest member of the family a dress. After all, every girl needs a dress from Paris.
This is the Metro station at Concorde where we started many mornings.
We found two green chairs and enjoyed the warm weather and the sun at Tuileries.
Then we had coffee at one of the Tuileries cafes.
