Our Family in Holland

We’ve been looking forward to this visit for a long time. Springtime in the Netherlands is usually filled with fields of tulips and daffodils as far as you can see. The unusual weather, though, delayed things a bit this year so we didn’t see the fields blooming, but everything else was perfect for our April visit. We saw fields just days away from full blooms, we biked in beautiful weather to see the enormous greenhouses where this small country produces more food per acre than anyone else in the world. We went to Leiden, we saw the Euro bridges, all in one small town. And we heard music performances, saw art classes, gymnastic classes, piano lessons, and had pizzas cooked to order on the street right in front of the house. An amazing, wonderful, perfect week.
