Musée Marmottan Monet, Eiffel Tower from Palais de Chaillot, Au Revoir

We took a bus to to Musée Marmottan Monet and when we got off, there was a short walk to the museum through a very pretty park.

The former residence was owned by Paul Marmottan, a collector of art. In 1996, Monet’s son donated his art collection, including his father’s art, to the museum. It is the largest collection of Monets.

When I was in high school, a good many years ago, I had a poster of this painting on the wall in my room. This is the first time I’d seen it in person.

We headed back on a bus and stopped at Place du Trocadero for a spectacular view of the Eifffel Tower.

Le Coq, a restaurant at the Place du Trocadero. I had three fried eggs with chopped black truffles. Jen had pizza with parma ham and arugula.And wine.

We stopped at L’Alsace for coffee and the best tart pomme we had in Paris.
