Last view of the coast and traveling to the Green Mountains
On Saturday, we went to the Odiorne State Park for another view of the ocean before heading inland to Bennington, Vermont.
We stopped for lunch at the Red Arrow diner in Manchester, New Hampshire. Besides great food, the diner becomes famous during the New Hampshire primary for its high profile visitors. Adam Sandler is a frequent visitor and the booths and counter seats are marked with their names. It was noisy and fun.
We found Walpole, New Hampshire, with its classic New England town green. Walpole is also the home of Ken Burns’s production company.
Next stop: Bennington, Vermont with its covered bridges, battle monument, and maple everything.
