We went to Wolf Trap with the Keanes to see John Oates and The Good Road Band perform. It’s especially fun seeing musicians in this small reconstructed barn because they seem to connect with the audience and tell stories about the music more than in a huge venue.
They performed very few of the old Hall and Oates songs and concentrated on music from the 20s through the 50s, a current interest of Oates and the basis for his latest album, Arkansas.
It was a great time.
