Had a good time on a rainy Thursday. We attended an NSO rehearsal at the Kennedy Center that included The Nutcracker Suite (Tchaikovsky), Scherherazade (Rimsky-Korsakov), and Paul Jacobs performed a DC premiere of a new organ concerto by Rouse.
It took us over 3 hours to make the trip to DC due to rain and traffic, but we arrived, had a potty stop, sat down in the Concert Hall and the music began.
After the concert, we stopped on Kent Island at the Harris Crab House for lunch and treated ourselves to shrimp, scallops, hush-puppies and a rainy view of the oyster boats coming in from the bay.
